Bleeding Tonsils, Sore Throat, Swollen Gland In Neck. What Could This Be?
Hey, I went to my ENT yesterday about bleeding tonsils and a sore throat . He took a look and was unable to find anything that would cause the bleeding so he sent me on my way. This morning I still have a sore throat, bleeding tonsils and a swollen gland on my left side of my neck . Any thoughts as to what this could be? I have no fever and no fatigue either.
Hi joe,
Welcome to healthcare Magic!
You have got a bad sore throat and that is the sorce of the bleed, local swelling and the enlarged lymphnode also tell the same story.
You have already been examined by the ENT docyor, so malignancy does not seem to be a cause.
You should start an antibiotic like Augmentin in supervision of a clinician.
You should improve the oral health, brush twice a day and do chlorhexidine mouth gargles thrice a day and avoid eating any edibles during ensuing 2 hours to ensure good germicidal effect of chlorhexidine; Do warm saline gargles after you take anything orally.
I hope the advise would be informative and useful for you.
Take Care!
