Blister On Finger And Toe, Itching. Taken Methylprednisone. What To Do?
i have small blister on my hand's fingers and on the toe, these are very itchy. i have visited the doctor four time in year. recently one doctor give me tablets with formula ''methyl prednisolone'' and by use, these blister becomes OK. but after ten days it again reproduced. now i don't know what to do......................................
Hi, Thanks for writing to us. It seems you might be having a type of hand and feet eczema known as pompholyx. It is characterised by severely itchy tiny deep seated blisters over palm, soles anf sides of fingers and toes. The treatment requires Application of a steroid cream like mometasone twice in a day Use of good emollient on regular basis Use of oral antihistamine like cetirizine Oral steroids are only required in severe, recurrent, refractory diseasr not responding to creams. Avoid using harsh soaps and detergents etc as it may exacerbate the problem. Hope that helped. Take care.
