What Causes Blisters On Back Of Throat Around Uvula?

I just looked at the back of my throat with a flashlight because for the past couple days, it s hurt to swallow, eat, and talk. It appears that I have blisters on the back of my throat, around my uvula. Is there anything I can do to make the blisters go away?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms seem to be related to herpangina.
Herpangina is an illness caused by a virus.
It's characterized by small, blister-like ulcers on the roof of the mouth and in the back of the throat.
I suggest to gargle with salty water.
I also recommend using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the inflammation in the throat.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
