Bloated Feeling With Nausea, Light Head, Light Abdominal Pain. Periods Irregular, Trying For Baby. Suggestions?
Hi, I have been feeling very bloated the last couple of weeks and thought this was because my period was due however today I have been feeling very nauseous and light headed. I have also been quite tired and had light abdominal pain mainly on the lower left hand side. I took a pregnancy test which was negative however we have /b/een trying for a baby. my last period was on 17/06/13 and these are very irregular. do you have any suggestions.

Hi ! From your history, it seems that you might have missed a period as per your LMP. Negative urine test is not a confirmatory test to know if you have conceived or not. I will suggest you to get it repeated after a week and if inconclusive to go for a serum HCG determination. However, if the abdominal pain on left side increases, then you should consult your family physician who may suggest you for an ultrasound abdomen to exclude any pelvic pathology. Apart from this, if you have been eating from outside then some kind of intestinal infection has also to be excluded by your treating doctor. I wish you an early recovery.

You should consult a gynaecologist for urine, blood test and ultrasonography to rule out pregnancy then if pregnancy is not there you should go for withdrawal bleeding by medication.
You should also go for treatment of irregular period because regular periods are very important for conception.
