Bloating, Hot Flushing Feeling, Sweating After Taking Cymbalta. Help
I am currently on Cymbalta . Is there anything that can be done about the bloating and intense hot flushing feeling. I was on Alplenzin and Zoloft. I have alot of stomach related problems with most antidepressants. These 2 dont seem ro bother me too much other than the sweating. Doc wants to see if Cymbalta will help with pain.
The gastrointestinal side effects of the SSRI antidepressants usually improve after the first 2 to 3 weeks of using the drug. They can also be improved if you use it with food. Some persons also advise starting at a low dose and increasing it slowly.
In terms of the flushing, this is an uncommon presentation of excess levels of serotonin. If it continues or worsens you may need to see your doctor for evaluation , the medication may need to be stopped and an alternative used.
I hope this helps
