Bloating Stomach, Change In Bowel Movement. Off Deposhot. Side Effects Of Depo?
I have been taking the depo shot since July 2012, I just recently got my shot and before now I have never really had any side effects or trouble. Now I have a bloated feeling and some pain in my lower stomach as well as a change in my bathroom habits. I am normally very careful when having sex however 3 weeks ago my boyfriend and I had a condo break and now I am just wondering if these are these just side effects from the shot finally catching up with me or something else?
If you get the depo shot on time then the chance of conception is very low. If used appropriately it is 99% effective.
If you are concerned about the possibility of pregnancy however , then you can consider a home pregnancy test. These tests are highly accurate. They can usually identify pregnancy by day 11 to 14 after conception.
Depo injections can cause bloating , so if the test is negative this may be the cause of this symptom. It is not normally associated with pain and urinary frequency however.
You may need to visit your doctor for an assessment which would include a urine test for infection.
I hope this helps
