Blocked Ear After Having Cold. Have Pain. Yellowish Discharge From The Nose. Need To Be Worried?
My left ear is still blocked after having a cold and using a neti pot. (Blowing my nose appears to have moved the water from the neti pot into my eardrum?) My ear is mildly painful inside. Its been blocked for about a week now. This morning my nose (on the left side) suddently dripped out alot of bright yellow thin liquid. Should I be concerned?
Your symptoms are indicative that you need to continue taking analgesics, antihistamine tabs. You should get clinically examined, get an X-ray PNS done to rule out sinus, you need antibiotics.
Steam inhalation may give you relief. You should chew gums, drink water frequently to help release the pressure inside your ear, the block will slowly disappear.
Clogging can be due to otitis media, wax, allergic cold, etc. If wax is detected your ears need irrigation by an expert. Get properly treated, take care.
Hi welcome to health care magic forum. It is common to have a blocked ear, after an ac cold attack, Probably by continue taking fruits and juices. Some times it may happen to occus to have a drain of fluid from nose, the yellow clour of the discharge represents the severity of the infection in the nose. (secondary bacterial infection)
I advise you to consult an E.N.T.surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. You may have to take C.T.scan to rule out sinusitis, a common siquile of chronic cold.
I also advise you to follow some diet recommendations avoid taking cool water, icecream, fruits , juices, eect to avoid allergy and resulting cold.
Wishing for a quick recovery and thanks for calling.
