Hi,welcome to healthcare magic

It is advised that no objects including Q tips be placed in the ear because of the potential for problems. The Qtip may have pushed the wax against the eardrum which is a common consequence. The wax against the ear drum may be causing the ringing in the ear ( tinnnitus) and the decreased hearing.
It can be easily remedied by the use of wax softening agents for a few days, the wax should move from the inner aspect towards the outer ear where it can be safely wiped away.If you still have significantl symptoms then your doctor can syringe the ear for you.

I hope this helps and I hope that you feel better soon
