Blood And Clots In Urine, Urge To Urinate But No Urine
I think i have a bladder infection . I feel a strong urge to urinate but when i try to go, nothing or very little comes out. there is some blood and little clots in my urine , and i have checked to make sure it is not coming from my vagina . I am sexually active, 19 years old, and i have had this discomfort for about 3 hours now. It woke me up, and i am unable to go back to sleep because it is so uncomfortable. Should i go to the ER or wait until monday when my campus doctor is open?
Hello,
Welcome to HCM,
You might be suffering with urinary tract infection. You should drink plenty of water, give sample of urine in sterile container for routine examination and for Culture & Sensitivity to identify infecting organism and effective drugs. Meanwhile consult a doctor preferably Urologist & start treatment to get symptomatic relief. As you are sexually active, you should avoid unprotected sex. Condom will prevent transmission of disease from sexual partner.
Wish you good health,
