Blood In Urine, WBC In Urine, Uric Acid Crystals. Done CT Scans, Ultrasounds. Explain
16 year old female with no other issues, is having small amounts of blood in urine , white blood count in urine (doesn t grow in culture), many uric acid crystals in urine, ph level of 5, dull right flank pain & urine frequency. Ultrasounds & CT scans are normal with no stones. Urologist plans to treat overactive bladder with Vesicare . This does not explain blood in urine or dull flank pain. Just wondering what they may be missing.
Hello
Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have pain in right flank.
This is most likely to be due to what is called as clot colic,Blood clot getting impacted in ureter and producing dilatation of ureter and kidney proximal to obstruction.
This is most likely secondary to uric acid stones that you may have in kidney or ureter
Discuss the issue with your Urologist for reason for treating as Over active Bladder, else take second opinion of other Urologist.
