Blood Test Done, Variations In The Glucose Level. Any Recommendations?
Hi there I just tested my blood glucose level and it is 211. I just ate a piece of cheese and had 2 midol around 3 hrs ago as it's that time of month. I had a cup of coffee about an hour ago. And then I started getting light headed. Eyes going blank hands going numb. Felt like pasig out. Got a chicken salad and are in on way home to grab glucose monitor and it is 211 any idea what's going on? Is this normal?
Hi, the actual time for testing blood glucose is after 2 hours of taking any thing. If it is taken immediately after food, there is possibility of getting a high blood sugar, after 2 hours you may get normal readings. For confirmation of the diabetis, you have to get the fasting and after 2 hours of taking food is to be tested. The realing you had might be due to food poisoning or indigestion. Thank you.
