Blood Test Of One Year Old Done. What Are The Findings And Required Treatment?

My son is 1.1 year old.
Due to his iron deficiency Dr proscribed him iron drops Nd told us to get done his blood test after 6 weeks.
Today we got test result and his report show some test are below border line.

MCV 72.7 fl
Mch 23.3
Neutrophils 20.5

His Haemoglobin is 12 g/DL & mchc is 32.3


Can u suggest what does these result means and what should be next step

Hi,
Thanks and welcome to HCM.
Your results show that MCV and MCH values are low and MCHC and Hb levels are almost normal.
You should continue the Iron drops as advised by your doctor for another 6 weeks to correct the existing abnormality and replenishing the Iron store in the liver.
