Blood was recently found in my stool. I am scheduled for a colonstomy. Blood work was done & my CA19-9 is 196 & my CEA is 13.2. I have a history of stomach ulcers & I smoke. My last colonostomy was 6 yrs ago which was ok. I am a 59 yr old female. I have lost a lot of weight over the last 2 yrs without trying. I also had gastric by-pass 14 yrs ago. There is no family history of cancer of this kind. How worried should I be? Don't hold back...I can take bad news.
