My teenage son has had a cold type virus that began as a sore throat about 3 days ago he also suffers from hashimotos but i have noticed his skin has become quite blotchy as though he is cold but he doesnt feel cold. His core temp is 36.1 celcius he feels like he has the flu and has a nasty cough. He has had ilness induced heart murmour in the past shoul i be worried about his circulation?
Hello, These symptoms suggest that your son is having a viral infection. Since it is already 3 days,he should be all right gradually in next few days. For cough he can take steam inhalation and hot liquids. Ask him to avoid cold drinks. If he develops fever in next few days, then he may require antibiotics for which he has to consult a doctor. Keep a regular check on his thyroid status as thyroid hormones fluctuate in people suffering from hashimotos THYROIDITIS. I feel there is nothing to worry at the moment. Thanks
