Body Temperature Changed, Quit Smoking, Going To Have Menopause. Reason?

Well, I quit smoking 8 months ago and have noticed that my body temperature has changed. You could not have gotten me cold in alaska during the longest winter in history before I quit. Now I am actually going back to normal, at the age fo 50 incidently, prior to hitting menopause by the way, when I go into an air conditioned facility. Is this related to not smoking perhaps?

Hi there,
Smoking does influence your body temperature to a certain extent. However , you are a lot better off feeling cold , than bear with the long term side effects of smoking(obstructive lung diseases, cancers etc ). There is no harm in getting your TSH(thyroid stimulating hormone) tested to rule out thyroid disorders. Thyroid disorders like hypothyroidism can present with cold intolerance.
Keep it up. Congrats on quitting smoking. Have a wonderful day :)
