Born With Severe Atopic Dermatitis, Severe Sinus And Breathing Problems, Stings Horribly. Permanent Cure ?

I was born with severe atopic dermatitus,. I spent 5 years in a classroom, teaching, that leaked so badly it was like a waterfall on one wall. It was never fixed and grew worse each year. 3 years ago the air condictioning in my class was turned off during and extremely hot fall. ( August to November) the temperature stayed betweenj 78 and 84 degrees. I kept bags of ice for the kids and use 4 fans. I had alot of sinus and breathing problems during this time. I am also asthmatic and allergic. I developed a terrible red rash on my scalp ,neck and chest. I was out alot due to the pain I was in. Last year 2012 I was in the hospital for over a week because of my lungs. I since have continued to have this rash in the same places. It is not like the eczema, it is hot, stinging horribly. I can not find a derm who seems to have a clue. I have been on oral cortisone off and on for 3 years. It will not it back enough that I can rest for a week or so and then it comes back.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

All the problem you suggester like atopic dermattes, rash, sinus problem and asthma suggests group of disorder due to allergy. Continue using steroid now, can take anti asthma inhalational drugs as suggested by your doctor depending on the stage and nasal steroidal spray. You get done one skin prick test to find the allergen/s and then start immunotherapy. This may help your all problem. Consult your doctor for examination and management.
Hope I answered your question. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries.
Wish you good health. Take care.
