Both Kidneys Normal Size, Renal Parenchyma Mildly Echogenic, Renal Cyst In Right Upper Pole, Left Upperpole Parapelvic Cyst. Indications?
Findings: The kidneys are of normal size the right 9.8 x 6.2x5.6cm and the left 10.4x5.5x6.2 cm. The renal parenchyma appears mildly achogenic. A 1.1 x 1.0 . 1.6 cm right upper pole renal cyst is again noted. No hydronephorosis. A 4 mm echogenic focus in the right midpole is present without definite shadowing. Several tiny echogenic foci in the left kidney also do not show shadowing. 1.4 x 0.9 x 0.7 cm left upper pole parapelvic cyst. Bilateral ureteral jets. Would you translate this? What is a 4mm echogenic focus , as found in the right midpole without shadowing?

Echogenic parenchyma may mean early medical renal disease.
Cysts do not need intervention and need only yearly followup scans.
The tiny echogenic foci and 4 mm focus may mean small renal calculi.
If there are symptoms, it is better to do act CT SCAN and confirm.
