Boyfriend Tested Positive For Chronic Hep B. Getting Tested Again. Got Vaccines For Hep B. What Are My Chances Of Turning Up Positive?

My boyfriend of 4 years recently tested positive for chronic hep b! I work as a medical assistant and about 8 months ago was stuck by a dirty needle and was tested for everything. But because of his status I'm getting tested again tomorrow I am very worried. I did get the vaccines for hep b about 12 years ago. What are my chances of turning up positive?

Hi

As you have already taken the hepatitis B injection along with booster dose ,it should be sufficient to give your body enough immunity to protect you from the infection.

Please check your self for hepatitis C and HIV also .As there is an increased chance of getting these infection if the test is positive for Hepatitis B.

Thanks.
