Brain Freezes After Drinking Water, Panic And Breathlessness. Why?
Hi, I have a question about having a funny spell when I drink water. It only ever happens when I sit at my desk at work. As I take a sip of water my brain kind of freezes (in time), I am unable to swallow for a micro-second and have a sudden rush of panic as if I cannot breathe. Within a second it subsides and all is fine. I went for standard blood tests and all came back OK. Any ideas?

It is unclear. My first thought is that maybe the water you are drinking is very cold at work.
Secondly, you may be having an allergic reaction to something in a bottle of water such as the plastic runoff from the bottle.
I recommend seeing a doctor in a clinic so they can check on you for a second opinion just to be safe.
