Breast Milk Secretion Is Poor. Lactogen Safe To Feed Baby?

I have 1 month and 9 days old son i delivered him by cesarean and i was not able to feed him coz i didnt got my breast milk, after 4-5 days their was some milk formed so in starting doctors suggested to give lactogen and even now my milk secretion is poor its not sufficient for him he starts crying even after feeding and after feeding lactogen 1 he stops and goes to sleep, but everyone including my doctor says dont feed lactogen keep him on breast feeding only so i am confused is lactogen safe can i feed him till my breast milk satisfies him fully please help me here

Thanks for writing in.
Best milk for a baby is mothers breast milk. It is produced on demand. When the baby sucks it sends a message to mothers body to produce more milk.
If you switch your baby to formula feeds this signal will stop. Your breast milk will decrease further & ultimately stop.
On the other hand if you keep putting the hungry baby to your breast several times a day may be every hour, this will eventually increase your milk production.
Lactogen is a widely used formula milk, but is not the best milk for baby.
