hello im 29 yrs old female i felt a pain in left breast i went to the doc he asked to make mammography and ultrasound and also to check prolactin levels the result came as a bilateral mild fibroadenosis with right breast cyst . no suspicious breast lessions , (sonographic examination confirmed the mammographic findings and revealed a small cyst @12 o'clock postion measuring 7x5mmin diameter with no solid suspicious lesions ) and the endocrinology report showed prolactin level is 6.60 i think within normal but the doctor prescribed me dostinex (cabergoline )for 2 weeks im worried do i have to take dostinex and do i have to do any further examinations?
Hi, though the prolactin is normal, the doctor might be having some experience in this line and would have given to prevent the fore going conditions. I advise you to consult a surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have excision of the cyst . Thank you.
