Breastfeeding. On And Off Light Brown Period Turning Darker, Red. Normal?
Im breastfeeding and had like a very light brown period for a few days then went away for 3 days then came back darker and got a little reder with time then finally went away. Lasted over two weeks in total. Is this normal because i breastfeeding? After the lochia i didn't get my period till after three months. Then got it again on the fourth and fifth month and it was normal as before i was pregnant. Until this month it was weird as i explained. Is this norma? I'm worried.
Hi, If you are sexually active and not on any contraception, it would be better if you exclude pregnancy by the blood test as urine test may not be of much use. Though lactation itself acts as a contraceptive and menstrual disturbances are common during this stage, pregnancy can always occur. If pregnancy can be excluded, it is a hormonal imbalance causing a breakthrough and needs only observation. If it repeats again, you may consult your doctor for treatment. Hope your query is clarified. Take care.
