Breathing Difficulty, Chest Tightness, Pain Under Arms, Shoulder, Back. Anxiety Or Panic Attacks?
Lately I have been waking up every night not being able to breath and my chest feels tight then I will get pain under the arm in the sholder back and the pain went into my ear I have been diagnosed with panic attacks and I am on meds for this but this really does scare me . Can all these symptoms be anxiety or panic attacks
Yes, these can be panic attack and in panic attacks people used to develop symptoms like you have developed. Panic disorder is a type of anxiety disorder. But as you are developing symptoms in night, it is better to rule out seizure disorder after investigation.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
Wish you Good Health.
Hello.........
Thanks for your query. If cardiac (heart-related) causes and seizures have been ruled out, these could be symptoms of panic attack. Effective management is available for panic attacks in terms of both anti-anxiety drugs and psychotherapy. Kindly consult a general practitioner to rule out above causes and seek a psychiatric consultation thereafter. Wishing you early recovery.
