Bright Blood In Stools. Stool Samples Have Been Taken For Testing For Bacteria. What Is Your Suggestion?
My daughter is 37 years old and has noticed bright blood in her stools on at least four occassions. Her doctor has taken stool samples and is finally testing her stool fob bacteria. I have advised her that she needs to keep pushing for a colonoscopy because she had this problem at about 9 years old. What do you suggest?
Most common cause of bright bleeding meaning hereby fresh blood is hemorrhoids which are common in people who suffer from constipation. Get a proctoscopy done first to rule out hemorrhoids, Also eat a lot of roughage to soften up stools. You can also take LOOZ or dulcolax if passing hard stools. once done with proctoscopy if no cause found then proceed further .
