Broken Jaw, Shoulder Injured After Accident, Have Recurring Headaches. Physical Therapy To Recover?

i had a bicycle accident approx 4-years ago where my face basically impacted the ground resulting in a broken jaw and injurying my left shoulder head. Over time i have had to deal with headaches, possibly contributed from the concussion. However i feel that my neck is probably a contributor to my reoccurring headaches. Your thoughts as far as exercises or form of physical therapy to help eleviate?

Hello,

Welcome to health care magic forum.

Thanks for writing to us.

From the details mentioned, its clear that you had undergone accident 4 years back, the injury has left untreated.

I would advice you to get a thorough clinical evaluation by an Oral-maxillofacial surgeon as well as neurologist.

Jaws has to be repositioned with Inter maxillary fixation or splinting.

Meanwhile,avoid mouth opening too widely.

Antibiotics as well as analgesics along with muscle relaxants has to be administered.

Hope this helps.
