Hello, I thought I had a head cold and went to the doctor last week, I had a bad chesty cough, headaches, he checked my chest and listened to my breathing, he diagnosed I had bronchitis, he put me on an anti biotic and said if I get worse or no better to come back. This morning I woke up and starting coughin badly, I coughed up some blood along With green phelm, I have tightness to my chest when I take deep breaths and my ribs are a little sore, the doctor has put me on a stronger anti biotic now, just worried it may be something worse?

Hello,

Bronchitis is inflammation of the lower airway.
The main problem is airway obstruction and mucus collection.
This may be superadded with bacterial infection due to the collection of mucus.
Cough, difficulty in breathing and sputum will be present.
Effective treatment is to added a bronchodilator with the antibiotic.
