Brown Spots On Toes, Dry, Flaking Soles Of Feet, Athlete's Foot. Treatment?

Hi, I have recurring brown spots on my big toes. They appear at first as being very callous-like, and over the course of a few days or so, eventually dry out and flake off. They don t happen in the same spot every time, and they never cause me pain or discomfort. I also have dry skin on the bottoms of my feet , predominantly under my toes, sporadically on my soles. I believe the dry skin to be an attribute of mild athlete s foot , but I can t find any information on the spots.

Hello,
Thanks for the query,

You are correct,

You might have developed Athlete's foot which is a fungal infection.

The dark patches may be due to post inflammatory hyperpigmentation,

These are common after any type of infection.

Please get a KOH mount done,

This can confirm the fungal etiology.

Treatment can be with oral antifungals as well as with topical antifungals.

Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.

Let me know if you have any other doubt.

you can ask a direct question to me on this forum, following the below link.
