Bruise Above Belly Button, Weight Loss. What Could This Be?

Ok thank you, I have been trying to research something I have been experiencing over the last couple weeks. I have a dull ...wouldnt exactly call it a pain .. But more like an internal bruise that seems to be about the size of a quarter or nickel. It is situated about an inch to the left of my belly button. I dont notice it most of the time, but if I should happen to yawn very deeply, then I notice it. I have lost approx 14 lbs since the end of march, 2012 and now weigh around 172, but it does seem as if the belly area does not lose as much as other areas. Any idea what this could be and if I were to make a doctor appt, which type of specialist should I make it with. Thanks.

I went through your description. Such bruised feeling do happen when there is acidity and it could last longer than popular expectation. You should feel acidity as well as constipation along with this.

But this should not cause weight loss. For weight loss, you should analyse yourself and confirm your new habits are not the reason. Sometimes tape worm or some other parasites might cause the pain as well as weight loss.

To confirm you should visit a general physician first and he shall advice further course of action.
