Bruised And Injured Spine And Muscles, Became Breathless. Used Lidocaine Patches. What Is The Reason?
Hi I fell 12 days go in my home, I am female and 29 yrs old. I fell on the bridge of my back after slipping on water. I was completely winded and could not get up. An ambulance took me to a and e where a consultant told me I had bruised my spine n muscles. I am still in terrible pain n continue to become breathless upon any task such as going upstairs or lifting my 9 month old baby. Im still using lidocaine patches and takibg kapake, voltorol and neproxine. The xray showed no cracked ribs. Should I be concernced about this breathlessness? Many thanks
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The pain in the back due to bruised muscles in the area can be severe. This can be relieved by regular hot fomentation and oral muscle relaxants. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Praveen Tayal , drtayal72@gmail.com
