Bruised Lump On The Buttocks After A Fall. Pain While Sitting. Need To Go To Emergency?
I fell down the stairs and landed on my lower back and right butt cheek. I have a huge bruise with a lump on the upper part of my cheek and lower part of my back. I feel a sharp pain when I lean forward or if I sit to quickly. I have a moderate pain in my lower back but it gets better with OTC. Should I go to my doctor? Its been about 48 hours and the pain hasn't gone away.
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The bruise that has appeared on the buttocks is likely to be due to the hematoma caused by a soft tissue injury in the area. This usually subsides on its own in 2-3 weeks with rest and hot fomentation. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
