Bruising And Swelling In Fingers. Taking IBS And Muscle Relaxants. Will Arnica Help?
fx lt humerus 5 days ago x 3 3 sites to upper humeros - orthopist seen 3 days ago - terrible bruising and swelling down to fingers - neuros and circ ok - should i keep icing?. currently taking ibs and mild muscle relaxants, but have stronger pain meds - would topical application like arnica, voltaren etc be helpful for pain, swelling?
The initial conservative management of Fracturehumerus is as follows - * protection of the injured area with the help of a splint or brace * rest to the local part and avoding any movements that produces pain * Ice packing once in 2 hours to alleviate the pain and inflammation * elevation of the limb and active finger movements to resolve the swelling * analgesic medications like advil or aleve to reduce the pain.
Consult an orthopedic surgeon for the definitive management.
Hope this information is helpful. Good day
