Bucket Handle Meniscus Tear In Knee. After Effect Of Arthroscopy?
I am 32 years old and i have buscket handle tear in medial meniscus anterior horn of my right knee . i consulted a orthopedic , he has suggested anthroscopy. what will be the after effect of this treatment. Whether i will be able to walk and play as before. removal of some part of meniscus will affect my life in long run. is there any other option instead of removal of a part of meniscus.
As long as the tear is there it will cause hinderance to the normal movement of the knee joint. It may cause locking of knee joint. The treatment of choice is arthroscopy and repair or meniscectomy depending on the degree of the tear. Arthroscopy has good results.
