Bug Bites And Fleas Led To Itching, Bumps, Raised Bumps. Have Allergic Reaction. What Maybe Wrong?
Well, first I started out with bug bites which I assume were fleas because I have cats, so naturally the itched and I wasn't worried about it, but then after I gave in to scratch them they bled a lot and even after they scabbed over they itched so badly that I couldn't help but scratch them. And then last night small little raised bumps appeared around the bites, even the ones that I had not scratched. They can't be bug bites because I have not been around any animals for over a week and all of my bed sheets and clothes had been washed before I left home. These little bumps itch very badly and since they are right beside existing scabs I keep accidentally reopening the scabs. I'm really worried that I might be having some kind of allergic reaction or something worse. Please help!
Hi, It seems that in old bug bite due to itching some bacterial infection might have taken place giving rise this problem. Take some antihistamine like Benadryl or cetrizine for few days. Go for one antibiotic medicine course after consulting your doctor. Apply Zinc calamine lotion on the part. Ok and take care.
