Hello and welcome to HCM,
Herpes simplex infection is characterized by painful, and fluid filled vesicles on the external genitalia.
Genital herpes is caused by herpes simplex virus 2.
Herpes simplex virus type 1 causes oral lesions.
However, herpes simplex type 1 can also cause genital lesions.
Thus,
oral sex can also cause genital lesions.
If you want to confirm or rule out herpes simplex infection, a
blood test for the
antibodies of herpes simplex should be done.
In case it is positive, appropriate treatment should be taken.
Your partner should also be tested for it and if positive, anti-viral treatment should be taken.
Avoid sex with infected partner.
thanks and take care
