Bumps In Inner Lip And Gums, White Lesions In Inner Cheeks After Getting Off The Habit Of Chewing Tobacco. Normal?
Dear sir,
I am a user of smokeless tobacco like rajnigandha along with tulsi since 2 and half years. I have left this bad habit since 1 week and not in touch with smokeless tobacco. but after quitting i have got some bumps in my inner lip and in gums. Also i have seen some white lesions in inner chick of my mouth. I wanted to know that may be the reason is smokeless tobacco but can they reduce or disappear after quitting tobacco?
Hi and thanks for using this forum for your health concerns.
These lesions you have described are not specific. It is not also a common finding in people who stop smoking like you did. I will suggest that you monitor this for a few more weeks and if the lesions are increasing or becoming painful, then you may need to see a doctor for examination.
If your immune status is not at its best, this could be oral thrush. We need more information before getting to some specifics like this.
I a happy you have stopped using tobacco. It is a very good step in staying healthy. Please, make sure you get all the assistance you need to stay away fro going back.. Wish you good health and feel free to come back to me for more information, answers and assistance. dr. Ditah
