Bumps On Back Of Throat Spreading To Tonsils And Roof Of Mouth, White Behind Tonsils. History Of Sore Throat, Cold, Took Mucinex DM. Opinion?
Ive had bumps in the back of my throat for about four weeks now, no pain, and its slowly creeping forward now, to the front of my tonsils and roof of mouth. I had such a sore throat that came on within hours four weeks ago that I couldnt speak, then it turned into a terrible cold, that I took Mucinex DM for a painful cough and congestion, but the bumps have not disappeared? My tonsils arent normal size, but not huge, and theres a bit of white behind them. I've never been this sick before, and am usually very healthy, but have not been feeling up to my full potential. most probably you are suffering from acute pharyngotonsillitis. you should take an antibiotic preferably Amoxicillin+clavulanate combination, a pain killer like paracetamol and warm saline gargling after consulting your doctor
if no relief within 5 days conult otolaryngologist

likely to be sinusitis
the off and colds can cause sinusitis and there is postnasal drip of mucus causing bumps on back of throat tonsils and roof
the post nasal drip can cause gerd with acid and half digested food back causing deposit in crypts of tonsils
can use doxy 100 m bd for 7 days as they clesr sinuses fast then other
take antiallergic tab fexofenadine 120 mg daily for 3 wk
add bronchodilator syp bd to liquify mucus and clear it
antacid syp to prevent reflux oesophagitis
apply neomycin h ointment in nose bd to prevent triering mucus secretions
sea water 2 drops at night eah nose to clear back of throat and mucus
apply triamsolone mouth paint to clear bumpps
get xray pns to consult ent doctor to treat it to prevent recurences
