Burn Scars After Stove Blast. Melgain Lotion, Tarcolimus Ointment Not Effective. How To Make Skin Color Normal?
in 2011 January i got burns in one function as kerosene stove got blast and i took burns treatment after that on my forehead i found scar in white color has formed and then doctors told me that it is hypo-pigmentation and suggested me Melgain lotion and after using melgain there was some improvement in pigmentation but after 3 or 4 months it stopped at one level then doctor suggested me to use tacrolimus ointment 0.03% and i use it till more 4 months then again i did puva therapy but all in vain this scar on forehead not at all going nor my skin color changed to normal. I request you to suggest me something very effectively medicine which can make my skin in normal color.
hi. you seems to have used very effective medicines with not desirable results. It can happen when the appendages(hair follicles) have been completely destroyed in scar
Though its hard to suggest accurately without seeing the patient actually, but i would suggest you to try Excimer Laser for resistant hypopigmentation or depigmentation or handheld LASER UVB phototherapy unit (its not the same as puva you took already).
Other treatment options are skin grafting, Autologous melanocyte culture and transplant, punch grafting
