General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, If absence of fracture is confirmed by X ray, it may be injured ligament. you can take care of the foot yourself till you see the doctor next week. GIve rest to the part, use help of a stick/ crutches for weight bearing. Apply anti inflammatory ointments ( no massage)/ foment, immobilize with a crape bandage. Oral pain killers/anti inflammatory pills will help. Thanks
