Burning Sensation On Upper Left Thigh And Has Spread To Ankle. Tingling And Twitching Feeling On Face. Ultrasound Done Which Shows Mitral Valve Prolapse. What Do These Symptoms Mean?
Hello, I have been having a weird sensation in my upper left thigh. It feels like someone is pouring warm liquid on my leg. This sensation happens several times a day and it doesn t seem to matter if I m standing or sitting. The sensation has ceased on my leg but is now happening in my left ankle. Also, I frequently have tingling and twitching in the left side of my face only; never on the right. A week ago I went almost totally blind in my right eye for about a minute. My doctor did an ultrasound on my carotid arteries and heart. Everything was clear except for mitral valve prolapse. I have been feeling very fatigued lately and just feeling out of it, drained. My SED rate was normal and all blood work was within range except for platelet count of 122 and MPV of 11. What could these symptoms mean?
Hi Thanks for your query. Your symptoms especially transient blindness in the right eye suggest a condition called Transient ischemic attack. I would recommend an MRI scan of the brain with MR angiography. Please see a neurologist As soon as possible. Hope this helps Good luck
