CT On Blocked Salivary Gland Shows Ground Glass Subpleural Nodular Density Identified In Left Lung Apex. Meaning ?

I am so nervous, I got a ct scan on my blocked salivary gland and they found a ground glass subpleural nodular density identified in the left lung apex that measure 6mm in diameter. I have OCD and I so afraid. Everything else looked great. They said to follow up in 6 months. Please help, I just got this letter and I have no one to call. AAAAA

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

In my experience, a 6 mm diameter subpleural nodular density in left lung apex is not a serious problem. As the size is very small, nothing needs to be done at the moment.
You can be watchful of any cough or swelling in your neck region when you may consult your doctor at an early date.

If nothing happens then a 6 month period is alright before getting another follow up investigation.

Hope it helps.
