I have two aunts with liver cancer and i want to know if it is hereditary? Thank u
hello.fluid in abdomen requires other associated details as well such as the quantity and along with it the details of the other organs on the scan which cause this problem should be known eg.details of liver, spleen, portal circulation etc.

CT Scan Said Fluid In Abdomen And Cyst In Liver. Is That Why My Right Stomach Pains? Genetic?
hello.fluid in abdomen requires other associated details as well such as the quantity and along with it the details of the other organs on the scan which cause this problem should be known eg.details of liver, spleen, portal circulation etc. cyst on liver can be a simple cyst or a hydatid cyst caused by a parasitic infection but is very rare. liver cancer is a different entity and is not related to cyst as cysts are usually benighn. if there is sufficient amount of fluid then its needle aspiration and analysis of fluid can give diagnosis regarding etiology. similarly cyst in the liver can be aspirated if its asimple cyst under CT guidance. get yourself examined by a gastroenterologist or a physician and corelate your CT report. and some cancers are hereditary not all, depends exactly on the type. hope i have helped you.
