CT Scan Showed Mild Brain Peripheral Atrophy. Meaning?

Dear Sir - I had on Sunday transient global amnesia with complete recovery. I m 6o y. The result of CT Scan was normal except mild brain peripheral atrophy . What is the meaning of this finding? Is it a normal aging finding? I understand of course that there is no correlation with TGA. Thank you, Adi Adar YYYY@YYYY

Mild atrophy is an age related change. It does not necessarily mean you have a problem. Due to age related loss of neurons there is decrease in the volume of the brain. This results in the clefts (called sulci) in the brain being more prominent and the bulgings (called gyri) appearing thin.
