Calcified Nodules At Supraclavicular Fossa. Faint Nodule In The Lung, Peribronchial Thickening In Lungs. What Does This Report Mean?
hi my mother have two tiny calcified nodules projecting at left supraclavicular fossa could be due to small calcified lymph nodes. A 0.8CM faint nodule projecting at left upper zone of the lung. Peribronchial thickening at both lower zones of the lung could be due to chronic change, pls advise is this serious or just need follow up chest x-ray as worried..? THANKS Nisha.
Mere presence of calcified nodes in chest, without any other clinical symptom is not a worrying thing. Such changes can be seen in patients with past infections Tuberculosis etc. If peribronchial thickening is present radiologically then clinical correlation is needed. Suppose patient has no significant clinical symptom, than this may be reviewed later on with similar test.
