Can 2 Drinks Be Taken At Night While Taking Bupropion?
I drink alcohol and just got a RX for Bupropion, i see risks, can i continue to drink my usual 2 drinks a night with it? I used it to quit smoking in 2000 with no problems ( but I dont think I drank back then ) and I took it when I took care of my dying dad in 2008 with no side effects, I think I drank about one drink a day then. There is the possibility of interaction between bupropion and alcohol.There is increased risk of side effects such as seizures, hallucinations, paranoia, mood changes.
These symptoms may or may not occur, it may be best to avoid alcohol use while you are using this medication.
