General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
Saridon is a painkiller medicine that contains three active ingredients: paracetamol, propyphenazone, and caffeine. It is usually used to relieve mild to moderate headaches, fever, and pain. However, it is not recommended to take more than two tablets at a time, and the maximum dose should not exceed six tablets in 24 hours.
Taking more than the recommended dose of Saridon can lead to serious side effects such as liver damage, kidney damage, stomach ulcers, and even death. In addition, taking Saridon for a prolonged period can lead to rebound headaches, making your headache worse.
If you are experiencing frequent headaches that are not relieved by one or two Saridon tablets, it is important to consult a doctor. They can help determine the underlying cause of your headaches and recommend the appropriate treatment. It is also important to follow the recommended dosage and frequency of Saridon use to avoid potential health risks.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
It is not recommended to take three tablets of Saridon (a combination of Paracetamol, Propyphenazone, and Caffeine) at a time without a doctor's advice. The maximum recommended dosage of Saridon is two tablets per dose and four tablets per day. Taking more than the recommended dosage can lead to an overdose and increase the risk of side effects.
The potential side effects of taking too much Saridon can include: - Liver damage - Kidney damage - Nausea and vomiting - Abdominal pain - Diarrhea - Dizziness - Confusion - Headache - Rapid heartbeat - Seizures
Using Saridon as a frequent and long-term solution for headaches is also not recommended, as it can mask underlying health problems and lead to medication overuse headaches.
It is important to consult a doctor if you have persistent headaches or any concerns about your medication use. They can help determine the cause of your headaches and recommend appropriate treatment options that are safe and effective for you.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
