Can ALS Progress If B 12 Shots Are Not Taken Regularly?
My mother has ALS and is the last stage she has had B12 shots but her Dr. stopped. She says that her ALS has progressed faster because she is not getting the B12 shots and she says that she hurts because she is not getting the shots. Thoughts please

Of course, ALS has no known treatment. However, the use of B12 shots may improve the symptoms of disease making the patient some what comfortable. As in your case, your doctor has stopped these shots, you are advised to discuss the situation with your doctor, who may reassess the requirement of these shots taking into consideration the factor of risks vs benefits.
