Can Advil And Toradol Be Taken Before A Dermatological Procedure?

I am having a. Dermatological procedure done and am terrified of needles because of the pain of the area that will need to be removed / biopsed. My family doctor gave me Elma to apply one hour before. Can I also take Advil or even toradol ( anti inflammatory/ pain ) before I go to appt?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

If topical skin biopsy is there then EMLA cream will be sufficient to make skin numb during the procedure. After that, if pain appears you can take oral Ibuprofen. Do not apply any other medicated cream/gel on the biopsied area.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
