Can Advil Be Taken Along With Concor 5 Mg?

I am taking Concor 5 mg daily to help regulate ventricular arrhythmia related to a mitral valve birth defect. Recently a friend gave me a bottle of Advil. I would like to use it for a headache, but am concerned that it may interact with the concor. Is it safe to use the Advil or should it be regifted to someone else who can use it?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

If you use bisoprolol for the treatment of high blood pressure, you may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring by your doctor to safely use both medications.
I recommend to substitute Advil with Acetaminophen.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
