Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
HI, I am a chronic Asthma patient. I have been using Aerocort(Cipla) for a very long time now. I have to use this inhaller at least 3-4 times in a day and thus thought of writing to you as though late, I know this will be affecting me in a long run. I am currently 40 yrs old and am feeling a very big emotional burnout. I dont feeel like doing things, have lost my job. Then Asthma and stress piles on me. Please help or advise.
Aerocort Contain steroids and beta 2 agonists (drugs that open the airways). While they may have some side effects z but they are generally for long term use. Most of COPD patients will be using this for long times. And as it is only going to lungs, there are no major problems being reported in the long term.. We generally advise to wash mouth with water after it's use.
This is only used for the control of symptoms. Of you feel short of breath you can use it for long tiemns. If you dont have shortness of breath you may stop using it.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman, General & Family Physician
