for about a week now, my shoulder, towards the back hurts when I wake up after sleep.I can move it just fine without pain.however. I get pain in my right arm and a bit of tingling in my typing finger.I am trying to sleep on my back to relieve it.frustrating.I am also using over the counter alieve and some cream to aliviate the pain.
Short answer: Yes, Aleve (Naproxen) will help in reducing pain. Detailed answer: back pain in morning especially after waking up can be caused by improper sleep posture, muscle weakness. On some occasions joint pain in the morning can also be due to rheumatoid arthritis. -Try sleeping on your back on a suitable mattress that is not too soft or hard. -Start some light muscle exercises to strengthen back and neck muscles -Avoid massaging -Run some blood test like RA factor for diagnosis of Rheumatoid arthritis -Tingling in finger can be due to radiculopathy due to a strained nerve root. -X ray of neck can detect a distant possibility of problem in cervical spine like spondylosis. Thank you.
